SECTION 39 CONTROL SYSTEM, Page 39-3, Step 1 to 5 Step 1, I located the piece of AT6-035X 1-1/8” tubing and cut to 33 inch length. Step 2, Drilled tow 1/” safety wire holes in the VA-111 Threaded Rod End. Step 3, Using the cut-out on page 39-11 I drilled six #40 holes into he end of the F-1089 Elevator Pushrod tube fwd and aft. Step 4, I inserted the VA-111 Threaded Rod End threshold into the end of the F-1089 Elevator Pushrod tube and match drilled the holes with a #30 drill. Step 5, Installed the Rod End Bearings and jam nuts AN316-6 into the ends of the VA-111 Threaded Rod End. Adjusted the push rod to overall length of 37 adb 13/32 inches rod bearing eye-to-eye. Time about 1.5 hour.
