Brief Description: Van's factory Tour....

12/30/2008 ….. Visited the Van’s Aircraft factory in Aurora, Oregon and participated in the Factory Tour. I was somewhat impressed by what I saw but it was between Holidays so the work was slow. Then after the tour Dad and Me and the designated Vans’ RV pilot Gus took N410RV (a RV-10 of course) for a 1 hour approx. demo tour. I was allowed to perform steep turns, a couple 360’s, approach to a short field stall, and power on and off stalls just to name a few stunts. Overall the plane was cruising at 180 mph at 75% power and had a climb rate of 1500 fpm with 40 gallon of fuel and 3 full size adults. The X-10 aircraft performs as stated in the specifications. Looking forward to completing my X-10 project.
