Brief Description:  Dynon Skyview Auto-Pilot Pitch and Roll Servo’s

The week of Aug 13th to 18th
The Dynon Skyview Auto-Pilot Pitch and Roll Servo’s arrived this week. The Pitch is a SV42T for Torque Linear Actuator or Capsins for the extra throw, smoothness, and torque that are needed because of the large Horizontal Elevator of the RV-10.The maximum liner travel is 3.5 inches and maximum torque force at 100% autopilot is 65 lbs. The Roll servo is just the SV42 regular actuator that puts out up to 35 Ft. Lbs. Ran the servo configuration program and everything checks out. The “phantom” stick moves around on its own, ailerons and elevator move as expected and tries to fly the aircraft as commanded by the Skyview PFD. Now if I get into trouble I can let the Electronic Pilot take control. And other small items. Now I am ready for the engine install and it is completed as Sky-Tech call and the engine is completed and ready for its two hour burn in. This is to ensure that the new engines Ring Set gets to seat properly with the cylinder walls and other items. This is help for one less thing I have to worry about as the upcoming Test Piloting during the initial 40 hour fly-off.
Time about 20 hours this week.
