I placed the canopy frame on the fuselage with the lower flange outside the fuselage all the way around the cockpit opening. Then using a scribe I marked where the fuselage met the inside of the lower flange all the way around. Then I used a Dremel with a fiber reinforced cutting wheel to trim the lower flange to this line. In retrospect, I probably could have adjusted the height of the frame better to be 1/8" below the fuselage at the cener rear, before scribing the line. So I have a bit more to trim, but better that than having cut too much to start. Looks like it will require a bit of artistry to finish the frame. I am wondering if I should put the rubber seal in place to account for its thickness before I go further?
