"Drill a 1” hole centered 1/2” down from the break in the seat bulkhead and another one centered 6” below that. Use a rotary cutter to connect the holes and form a slot in the bulkhead."
This would make the slot 7 inches long ( 6 inchs between the centers of the 1" holes) and yet the slot in the picures looks more like 4 1/2 to 5" long.
Looking for guidance.
When drilling the rudder cable pass thru holes, be careful not to drill into the floor behind the seat bulkhead, which you risk doing if you drill at right angles to the bulkhead.
