I drilled out the hole in the forks for the axle to 5/8". The eight holes in the other end of the forks were already drilled to #10. When I assembled the phenolic block in the forks, I found that the AN3- 26A bolts stated in the build manual are not long enough. Now I am confirming whether I need longer bolts or should file the block thinner (probably the former).
The manual says "Prep, prime, and paint the nose leg weldment. Do not paint the portion that goes in the Forks."
Arion now provides the weldments pre-painted, however "the portion that goes in the Forks" is painted, so I will have to find out if I should take the paint off. I would assume so, because I think it would wear off with use and leave too much play beween the weldment and the phenolic block.
