Brief Description:  Spar Box Overview and Finish Assembly I

Tonight I cleaned the paint from the holes in the front and rear spar box assemblies and fitted the cable guides.

On each side I used the existing outboard hole and drilled a new inboard hole in the tab on the rear spar box half.

I deviated from the manual by placing the bolt head at the top rather than the bottom. This was because I thought this would make it easier to replace the cable guide if it ever became worn. The whole assembly is so near the fuselage floor that it may be difficult to withdraw the bolt downwards.

I test fitted the spar box halves into the fuselage and counted the washers necessary to centralize them.

Looking from the front of the airplane, the number of washers for the FRONT spar box assembly were as follows:

3_____________________2

3 _____________________3
3 _____________________3

Looking from the front of the airplane, the number of washers for the REAR spar box assembly were as follows:

3_____________________3

4 _____________________3
4 _____________________3
