Cut inspection hole both wings: I marked the cutout by putting two Sharpies together. With the cap removed only from the inner one, I ran them around the recessed area to create a line to cut leaving a 3/4" flange.
I used the Rotozip with the Sabre bit to cut this time and it worked fine, probably because the fiberglass skin is thin. There is nothing directly below the skin to damage here so there was no risk in the bit penetrating an inch below the skin,
I straightened and beveled the trailing edge where the flaps will be. Frankly, I think the trailing edges were already straight when I started. I could detect very little waviness.
I am not doing anything with the wingtips yet, because I want to consider the new extended wingtips from Arion when they are available.
