Today I cut the holes for the wing spars. My measurements indicated the markings on the wing roots were correctly positioned. The scribed lines were not completely straight, so I re-marked those before I cut.
I finally decided that the Rotozip with 3.5" cutting wheel and no speed adjustment is a bit too big for this work, but that is what I used. If I was starting again I would get a variable speed tool with a smaller wheel.
I also used the Perma-Grit tools to finish the cut-outs in the NACA scoops for cockpit ventilation.
I turned the fuselage upside down to sand the flange on the underside and noticed that this was a better position to do the vertical stabilizer prep. So I moved onto that.
