Carefully centered vert stab to horiz stab so exactly perpendicular. I measured with a tape on either side and then secured phone cord wire with cleco clamps to hold vert stab securely (thanks Terry Ruprecht for that tip!). I also used the smart level on the sloping sides of the tail after checking the horiz stab and fuselage again just to make sure. Once secured, I drilled and bolted the rear spar to the fuselage rear bulkhead, and made the elevator stop bracket and bolted in place as per pic 3.

Lower bolts were backdrilled from inside using 90 degree angle drill attachement.
