Brief Description:  Cabin frame day5

OK, so I found that the F-631B straps had crept out of the frames on the curves. Edge distances were OK, so do not need to start over. But, in places, when I added the top frame members the whole assembly was significantly wider than the 1 1/ 2 inches called for in the plans. So, I made a height block as a gauge and used a belt sander to level the straps so all was even. That alone was 30 minutes. But the reward was putting on the top frames and getting 1 1/2 inches all the way around when using theT square. So, I drilled all the upper frame holes, assembled, then started drilling all the upper strap holes using the square to constantly check my progress. Last, did the joiner plate (will be installed inside the beam, but you use the plate to backdrill the frame holes). Roll bar came out well. Real important not to ^%&#$ this up - I know of one accident where an RV flipped landing in a field and the bar collapsed, killing both occupants. The NTSB found improper riveting of the bar in multiple places. Now time to take it apart, deburr, prime, and rivet.
