Brief Description:  rudder and brake pedals

Fit the side bearing blocks (white in the pics) to the rudder pedals after drilling the bolt holes, then removed and drilled to the longeron that serves as the attachment point. A deviation from the plans that worked well - instead of assembling the rudder pedals and bearing blocks and then clamping in place in the fuselage (harder ebcause the fuse is upside down) to drill these, I removed the longerons from the side skin, measure 3 inches from the firewall end, clamped the block, then drilled (pic 1). I then moved the block aft by adding a bolt int he fore hole, placing it in the aft drilled longeron hole, then drilling a new aft hole. I then centered the block between these hole sets to get a medium position. Now I can bolt the rubber pedal assembly in 3 positions depending on needed leg room. For me, I plan on moving the seat bottom forward to increase the seat back angle for comfort (sat in some planes to gauge this), plus at 6'2" will need max legroom. Thus, the pedal assembly will be bolted in the holes farthest forward away from me. Next step - I put the master cylinders on the pedals (gold units between my feet in pic 3), then primed and painted the brake pedals with a cool textured paint.
