Brief Description:  Wing wiring

Started wiring the wings. Ffor whatever reason, I eagerly anticipate wiring the fuse, and this gives me a small taste. First step - run Van's plastic conduit through all the 3/4" rib holes (black stuff in pics). Then I pulled a starter string through by tying the end to a napkin and sucking it through with the shop vac. I then pulled thru the servo bundle and cut it out at the bellcrank. Always pull an extra string, too - this was then used to pull the rest of the wires. These included a shielded strobe wire, a landing light pair (16g), and a position light pair (18g). Extra was coiled at the wing root for running into the fuselage. Debate is whether to terminate in connectors (eg Molex) vs give yourself extra wire to run to your panel once the wings are permanently joined. One extra connection means an extra chance for a failure, but is more convenient to wire. I ran extra, though the land/taxi lights were just enough for the root plus extra for a service loop (extra looped wire tucked away in case of need to cut and splice at a later date if wings are removed). I will probably do the connectors for all - will decide later. Lastly, I also pulled an extra string to leave behind in case I need to run an extra wire after plane is done.
