Brief Description:  Wing spar prep, tie down bar

Riveted platenuts to spar where access plates attach, then did the big ones (K1000-4) toward the spar front. Next came fabrication of theW-933 tie-down bar (pic 2). This bolts to the spar and will have a tie down ring out the bottom for securing the airplane when parked outdoors. The extrusions were cut to size, sanded, smoothed. The ends were tapped - plenty of oil (I used tool oil), cut one turn, back out 3/4, periodically remove to clean out shavings. Went well. All holes drilled, deburred, countersunk nutplate holes, nutplates riveted, then bolted onto the spar. The bellcrank brackets were bolted on the other side (this will be the attach point for the 90 degree crank that attaches to the pushrods that run from the control stick and to the aileron). All bolts torqued to 25-30 in lbs (interestingly, the drag from the pinched platenuts was around this range, so it barely took any further torque once the bolts bottomed out).
