Brief Description:  Canopy cutting, 1

The big moment, cutting the canopy! Needs to be warm to mitgate cracking ($1000 to replace!!). So, with temps at 83 degrees in the garage, I was ready. Have spent the last couple weeks reading various builders' sites. Then, masked the front and rear excess and started trimming off with a cheap Harbor Freight cast saw. Worked great! AFter cutting, BEFORE moving the glass, one must sand smooth th erough cut edge. In sequence, used the belt sander with 80 grit, palm sander with 100 then 150 grit, finishing with a sponge pad around 220g.
