When I initially fit the cowl to the fuselage, I over trimmed this area about .150" . I scarfed on a fiberglass repair to extend this edge. For those that don't know, the green fabric in the picture is Peel Ply. Lay it onto the wet layup, and once cured, pull it off. It absorbs exess epoxy, and removes amine blush.
