This was one of the scariest jobs that I have done. I was worried about drilling 3/8" holes through my welded fittings on the aft side of the firewall. The reason this was scary was because the "pilot hole" is just the 3/8" dia pipe in the motor mount. After talking to a seasoned local builder, I invested in a corded high power drill so that I could turn the bit slowly. Overall, everything was a success.
