I purchased this 1 gallon measuring cup to calibrate my fuel tanks. I did 1/2 gallon at a time until approx 20 gallons in which I changed to 1 gallon increments. At that point the floats are at the top of the tank at the wing root and I didn't see much change in voltage values.
