Brief Description:  Blocked air Cyl. 1/Fuel sender/Wheel pants

Today, I cut a 4" piece of 1/2" angle and pop riveted to the floor of the inlet baffle just in front of #1 cylinder thus blocking some of the air to this cylinder. I can't fly today to see if this works since the weather is terrible. My right fuel gauge sticks on full. I opened the wing root fairing and removed the wire from the sender and the gauge returned to zero. This is supposed to mean that the sender is shorted???? I am not sure if this is the case or the float is stuck as happened on the left side. I gave it a good whack and hope this will help. I have been working on the wheel pants for a couple of days since the weather is too bad to fly. I have mated the 2 halves of each side and filed away until I get a good fit. I have cut the hole larger to accommodate the tire. Next come nut plates. ...... Hopefully the weather will clear tomorrow so I can see if I have helped the over heating. I am thankful that my oil temperature is remaining normal.
