Brief Description:  Pylon

Pylons are alot of work. I did find something at Home Depot while looking for styrofoam for the Pylons that helps form the utility conduit from turtle deck to wing area. Its called an "Extend-A-Spout" and is the perfect size to act as a conduit and very light weight.

It took alot of TLC to get the flap arc cut, the pylong put on nice and even and rivet everything in place. I'm still not real happy with the flap arcs, but we'll see how they look in the end - I still think a bit of trim would make them look fine. If you know a good black trim that "clips" around thin sheet metal, please send me a link via email...

Completed the port side, Cleco'd the starboard side while I wait for the eye bolt to show up next week.

I also ordered my first lot of wire, some tools, Gear switch and status lights and conduit so I can start running some of the wires to/from the various accessories already installed (trim, flaps, landing gear).

As far as my license goes, I need to do my long cross country, then practice some of my maneuvers and study my facts again... Hoping to get pilot's license by the end of March. That would be 8 months of steady effort...
