Tie Rods and Rudder Pedals. Lots of riveting on those rudders and assembling the tie rods not real easy - they keep wanting to "roll". Of course I shoulda started with a smaller, SHARPER, drill bit - but I did step up the sizes twice...
These rivets were a little smaller and I thought Jon might be able to squeeze the grips hard enough to pop one, but he's just not quite strong enough... Of course, he doesn't know that - Dad was helping without him realizing it. He's having such a great time "building" the airplane with his poppa...
The manual said to level the plane and frame so you could level the sticks before attaching tie rods. Being the geek (XL - Thank YOU!) that I am, I have a clinometer app on my IPad that is actually quite accurate, so I used that to make sure everything was parallel... which is actully what the manual meant ;)~
