Lots more progress today completing all of Section 3 and the fuel sender in 4. Straps on gas tank went ok, you need to wrap the non loop end pretty far around so that the looped end falls right. I also soaked the material in hot water prior to putting on and tightening so that it would continue to tighten after install. When putting in the screw the head broke off the 3/4" stainless screw, causing quite a little issue. It took me about 6 successive larger drills to drill that SS screw out and get where I could put a new screw, but finally got cleared out and replaced.
I was fortunate enough to be one of the first to get the new design plastic tanks with integral fittings, so the manual was not as helpful to me. So I skipped alot of the fittings stough and went straight to the fuel sender and got installed.
Overall a very productive day. Blake also had TKDo tutor time today for belt test in two weeks, he did well, broke some boards. He also took a very dissapointing C in English to a very impressive A this six weeks - he's a great kid. Jon was also a good boy until this evening when he and Mom balled up in a ball... Church and more flight lessons tomorrow...
