I've been up, got my solo endorsement re-signed and went around the pattern a dozen times. It went well and helped build my confidence back up. This weekend I'll shoot over to my short range airport, work on coms, approaches, landing at different airport, then go out to practice area and practice some maneuvers/slow flight... Not in a rush to get license anymore - shoot, plane won't be ready anytime soon anyway, Right!??
Picked up an aileron a couple weeks ago and started covering process, finished this weekend. It wasn't really difficult, although I didn't get my first cut very "clean" so I'll be more careful with my future cuts (small strings), but I managed to minimize those and finish covering/brushing without any issues. After brushing a coat on, I'm putting in a bag to keep any dust off as it will be awhile before we go paint...
