After a couple of bad weather traveling days, Vic Syracuse flew up in his RV-10 from Georgia to do my DAR inspection. Although the FAA will send somebody out for free, it seemed like a no brainer to pay to have the plane inspected by someone who knows RVs probably better than anyone else before I strap myself inside and try and fly it! It all went very smoothly and I had my airworthiness certificate in hand before Vic left. Only a few small items to take care of that he found, otherwise a great report and great learning experience. First flight won't be for a couple of weeks due to work schedule and I need to get all of the inspection panels and floor pans reinstalled first anyways. I also need some time in an RV-14 with a CFI to make the insurance company happy too before flying.
