I am rewiring the panel to a new harness and the harness is going in now. Long story but my harness had some errors that I could not track down and frankly got to frustrated that I was wasting even more build time on this so I had one made up fro me by and avionics shop. Hopefully this one will plug in and work completely. along with this, I am changing out the connectors that connect the harness to the main wiring harness in the plane. I had a myriad of CPC 9 pin connectors doing the job and now I am replacing them with just a few larger 28 pin one. This should neaten things up a lot. I have the high current items (landing lights, pitot heat etc) in their own higher amp capacity CPC connector and separated from the sensors and CAN Bus wires etc. Back tracking will cost me weeks of work, but I thing it's going to make things better.
