Brief Description:  Prepare canopy parts and install flap sensor

Started getting parts ready to prime by disassembling the canopy frame and then prepearing them with a scotch brite pad. I started thinking I wanted a flap position sensor and then realized I had ordered one already from Vans so decided ti install it. It really needs to go in BEFORE you install the center drive link and motor as you neeed to drill a small hole at the base of the center link for the position sensor wire pushrod. So, first disassemble the work done a few days ago and install the sensor and wire. I modified the dual "Z" bend in the plans by using an R/C 4-40 ball link at the bottom end. Worked out fine. The sensor mounts in already existing holes so clearly they were thinking ahead for us. The Vans / Ray Allen unit is simple and easy to install and is compatible with the planned G3X avionics but I think the Show Planes unit is a much more robust setup.
