Brief Description: Fuselage stand and control column
Fabricated the fuselage stand to be able to stand the fuseage up on its side per plans. I used some 3/4 X 12 X 4 pine laminated around a 1/4" ply center sheet and then sanded to make the required 1 11/16 " thickness required - Gorilla glued and screwed to a 24" X 12" X 3/4" MDF board. Fuselage held in place with 3/8 x 5 " bolts from Home Depot. The spars need to have their parts like landing gear drag braces temporarily bolted into place to get everythiing lined up and strong enough to rotate the fuselage on it's side.
Waiting to get some help to finish the riveting of the bottom skin so I started on the control column fabrication and installation.
