As I am fitting an ex military joystick grip, which has almost 1,000,000 switches and wires, I needed to drill a 3/8" hole in the pilots joystick. Appreciating the weakness this may introduce, I made up a sleeve from the piece I cut off the top of the joystick, and had an aviation welder mate, weld it in place. Beautiful job! I also added a 1/4" hole into the pax joystick for wiring. I did not bother with a doubler on it. Now off to the powdercoaters!
