Brief Description: Undercarriage installation and alignment - AGAIN
The first time I tried to align the gear, one of the blocks moved while I was drilling it, resulting in the right lower longeron and weldment replacement. THis time I fabricated a 7/16" guide, drilled to 1/8" initially. THis worked really well and I highly recommend it! THe blocks didn't move this time, but if they did, it would have been an easy correction with the small pilot hole. I di two methods for the alignment, strings and plumbbobs on the leading edge of the gear, and angles clamped to the axel attachment points. both gave similar results.
