Over several days, I leveled the airframe and also the horizontal stabiliser to the airframe. I found that there was a very minor twist in the QB fuselage that woiuld require some reshimming of the stabiliser. I ended up installing two 0.032" shims at the left rear spar attach, and I removed the 0.125" H-810E shim on the right side of the forward spar (HS814-1), and installed two 0.032" shims. I thought I would run it past the team at Vans before I drilled the first hole. They came back with their 'Oke-Doke', so I took to it with the drill :) All-in-all, after reading some horror stories about less than minimum edge distance holes, it all worked out just fine. It is starting to look like a thing :) Time to attack the VS!
