After reading numerous posts on VAF, I decided to cut out the web between the lower and middle lightening holes in the gear tower legs. This was another job done with great caution. I did the cuts with a Dremel, and did most of the tidy-up with a scotchbrite pad on the die grinder. This came up well. I will make the cover plates, and add anchor nuts at a later stage.
