Brief Description:  Finished Training Kit

Finally finished this up, which required that I rivet the trailing edge (used a backrivet tool to partially set the rivet, then flipped it over and used a mushroom set on the machined head to finish flushing the rivet). The TE came out pretty good, though I think next time I will need to work with the wedge a bit more, as it wasn't quite perfect. For the leading edge, you are suppose to bend the two skins inward so that you can pop rivet them where they meet. The bending went ok (used a broom handle and some duct tape), but for the life of me I couldn't get the two skins to sit flush when they were bent together. I ended up just going for it, and well, you can see the results in the second picture. When I get to this stage in the real kit I will also be checking out how others did it and maybe pull in some help from one of the local guys. I believe the only time you do a LE like this is when you do the ailerons and flaps.Next steps: Onto the actual empennage kit!
