Now that I have the oil separator mounted and figure out how to connect it to the engine, I have to finish the routing. Van's supplies an aluminum tube to route the crackcase breather down to the bottom of the firewall. I had to do quite a bit of bending to make this part work with the new separator, Without the separator, it is prefered to have the breather exit over an exhaust pipe to burn up as much oil as possible. This also reduces the chance of the brether freezing over and blowing out thr crank seal. Even though the hopefully won't be much oil going overboard with the separator installed, over the exhaust still sounds like a good idea.
I still need to add a hose clamp and tighten everything down, but I think the routing is good.
