More work on the cowl today. First I made a wood blank to set the position of the cowl in relation to the engine. The wood part is built to set the correct 1/4" gap at the back of the spinner.
I then fit the top cowl in place and clamped it to the wood blank. After a lot of checking and fitting, I maked the aft edge of he cowl and then trimmed it to size. More trimming will be required, but it is pretty close.
I also installed the nutplate onto the spinner fron and back plates.
