Brief Description:  Left Wing Bottom Outboard Skin 1

The time has come to start drilling the lower skin to the left wing structure. Before starting for the day, I removed the tank and leading edge and rechecked to make sure the wing was still level and square in the jig - all is well. I also made a drill pattern out of a piece of the trim/cutting provided in the kit (not pictured). I was a little short of light on my workbench so I put in a new outlet in the cirling and added a 2-bulb hanging light. I also have 2 4-bulb troffers that I install a couple years ago. I now have sufficient light - very important.

In case you noticed, I also have my garage (workshop) plumbed for air. I have 6 outlets total, a pair at either end and a pair in the center. All but one outlet run through the regulator, dryer, and oiler (I don't use the oiler). With the outlets on the ceiling, it keeps the hoses out of the way for the most part. I'm 6'4", so the height is not an issue.

Having the regulator by the compressor is basically pointless. the volume of all the lines running through the ceiling keep the regulator from doing it's job. On the plus side, the plumbing probably added a couple gallons to my effective tank volume.
