Me. along with anumber of other RV-6 builders have a problem with clearance between the elevator forward pushrod and the bottom of the cabin tunnel cover. After a whole lot of experimentation, measurement and checking. it would appear to be a design flaw. I even redrew the plans in CAD and the plans model had the problem. The issue can be fixed by limiting elevator travel to less that max (barely over min), or just leaving no clearance and risking rubbing parts. I decided to make new bearing blocks that shift the control pivot down 3/16" That is all it took to fix the issue.
