Ok, I am way behind on updating my log. Time to try and catch up. Back to the windshield installation...
With the widshield bonded in place I sanded the Sika to a smooth radius as best I could. I masked off the windshield and started making the fiberglass fairing. I am making the fairing as a separate piece and then will bond it in place.
I started by making the targa strip and sides. I will then add the front strip. For the targa strip I used 4 layers of 8oz 3" wide tape. To conform to the compound shape, the tape has to be streched so it will narrow. Less than 3" width would cause problems.
