Today I went ahead and removed the making tape from the canopy. The are a couple small spots where a speck of primer seaped under the tape, but overall it looks great. I placed the canopy on the fuselage and everything fit great!
I forgot to mention in an earlier post, before attaching the canopy, I adjusted the witch of the fram to account for the sprin-back when the canopy was clamped in place. I had to narrow the frame by about 1/2" to have it come out right with the canopy attached.
