The plans/kit don't provide any method to finish the longeron through the baggage area. Leaving the longeron and rib exposed makes for a very unfinished appearance. Through the cockpit, the is a nice formed piece the covers the longeron and gives the area a nice finished looks. I decided to use the same material in the baggage area.
I bought two extra portion of the canopy deck material and trimmed / fitted it to the longeron between F-605 and F-606. This deck will have to be attached with blind rivets since it has to be installed after the skin is riveted on and there will be no way to get a rivet gun in there.
Like the forward canopy deck, I notched the baggage area deck around the F-605 Gusset. In addition to being riveted to the longeron, I will also rivet deck to the back of F-605.

The forward edge will be trimmed to butt up against the forward canopy deck
