Today I decided to do a bunch of little cleanup items; one of which is to install the fuel pump doubler on the firewall. I put this off before because I mistakenly drilled the doubler (and firewall) for -3 nutplates rather than -4. I wasn't sure the best way to fix this, so I had moved on. Well, 6 months later I am finally getting that done. I decided to just go ahead and install the -4 nutplates just clocked differently that the -3 nutplates were (the mounting holes are different on the two sizes).
The doubler normally has a corner cut off (no particular reason, just doesn't need to be there). Since I was re-clocking the nutplates, I had to make a new doubler with that corner so I could mount the nutplate. I the riveted the assembly to the firewall.
