Today I started to fit the left cabin side skin. First I riveted the carrythough to the main longeron. I also riveted the arm rest in place. I can't use clecos to hold the carrythrough in place since the skin has to sit flush.
I then removed the right half of the false spar. I marked and trimed the cutout for the rear spar. With the skin now able to sit flush, I marked and trimmed the main spar cutout.
You may notice that there is a bolt in place of the of the rivets at the aft end of the arm rest. When I drove this last rivet, I did no shoot it straight. When I went to drill it out the bit drifted and damaged the hole. I would have used a -5 rivet, but I don't have a double-offset set for the -5, just a straight set. As such, I decided to drill the hole out for a AN3 bolt. I used a round-head phillips drive AN3 bolt with fiber locknut. This will not be visable when the airfract is assembled.
