I was doing some work around the house and spring cleaning this weekend, so I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted to. I feel like progress has been very slow on the fuselage so far.
Today I fitted and drilled the right lower longeron and crossmember. I also drilled the right side of the F-604 to the upper longeron. I made some minor bend adjustments to the upper longerons and drilled them to the firwall weldments. I also fitted the left outtermost seat ribs. I checked the spacing between the main and rear spar on the fuselage and wing. The dimensions are dead on so I am happy.
I also fabbed and installed a F-684 gusset for the right side to replace the Vans supplied part that I wasn't happy with.
I started to assemble the F-606 bulkhead (to this point it was just clamped together. I cut the hole in the F-606B for the pushrod and the trim cable. I started to layout the making for where the baggage ribs would go when something looked funny. I then realized that I had not marked the center correctly and all my holes where off...Grrrr, felt like an idiot. Well, scrap that part. Lukily it is only the F606B I messed up. Just a $17 plus shipping mistake, so not a big deal.
