I did not like the F-684 gussets as provided by Vans, so I made my own. The Vans version forces minimum edge distance where the gusset attached to the firewall. My fabbed part puts the gusset flush against the firewall providing a better fit. My gusset matches the plans while the Vans F-684 does not.
Today I also drilled the left upper and lower longerons to the weldments and to the F-604 carrythrough.
