Very, very nearing completion of rudder. Awaiting additional blind rivets from Van's. Then I will rivet rudder base in permanently. The rudder took a lot of thought prior to any final riveting. I did not want to have to undo any work because of a forgotten step. Work came out well; key being that the rear of the rudder makes a nice straight line. It is not bowed at all. That riveting work on the rear of the rudder also went slowly because of the constant checks, rechecks, and flipping the rudder over to rivet one or two rivets and then going back to the other side. I may get some preliminary work on the final empennage piece going; the elevator, prior to final buttoning up of the rudder.
