Brief Description:  Begin Riveting Right Flap

I riveted the FL-706A angle on to the spar per plans using the squeezer with longeron yoke. I assembled the skeleton and cleco'd to the bottom skin. I decided to use the split pin method to attach the flap hinge, so I put both parts of the hinge on the flap, found the center, and marked two ears on aircraft side and one on flap side for removal. Used the dremel to cut the ears off and smoothed over the cuts with file and scotchbrite. Touched up the primer on the flap hinge.

I used the squeezer to set the rivets at the aft end of the internal ribs,

Cleco'd on the top skin and removed the spar. I covered the rough edges of my flap stand with duct tape and put the flap in the stand. I used the gun and tungsten bucking bar to get down inside the flap and begin setting the rivets on the bottom of the flap where the top and bottom skins overlap. It was a tight fit, but was able to get good rivets. I set every other rivet working from the center out to each side, then set every other rivet in the bottom of the internal ribs. Turned the flap around and set every other rivet on the top of the internal ribs, going from aft forward, then filled in the rest of the rivets. Turned the flap again and filled in all rivets on the overlap, then riveted the ribs.
