Brief Description: Drill FL-706A, Dimple Right Flap Ribs and Skins
Marked hole locations on the FL-706A per the plans and drilled #30 with the drill press. Match drilled FL-706B to end rib with #30 drill, cleco'd as I went. Removed the skins and match drilled FL-706A to spar. Match drilled FL-706B and end rib with1/4 inch bit for flap actuator bolt. Dis- assembled and deburred all holes.
Deburred top and bottom skin inside and out, deburred top of spar and ribs. Scuffed all with scotchbrite. Used the squeezer to dimple as many holes as I could on skins and ribs. Used the squeezer to dimple the top of the spar. Drilled the FL-706B and end rib for the nutplate. Dimpled the rib, coutersunk the FL-706B. Used the close quarters dimple dies and pop-rivet tool to dimple the skins and ribs near the trailing edge. Last holes were done with short mandrel and squeezed with pliers. Dimpled the FL-708 spacers with squeezer.
Set up the C-frame to dimple remaining holes in skins. Got a few done before I had to stop for the day.
