To complete preparation of the counterweight I brushed on two coats of white latex enamel from the local hardware. After thorough drying time I cleco'd on the nose ribs and secured them with a pulled rivet. Then I cleco'd the leading edge skin to the strucure and added the trailing edge skin. I cleco's the skins to the top of the spar only
I built a support for the aileron from 2x4 and 4x4 lumber clamped to the bench. Frances ran the gun and I bucked from inside the aileron. It was tricky to get good rivets due to the access and angle of the spar bend. The first rivet we set had a too thin shop head so I switched the -4 rivet length called out in the plans for a -4.5 and got acceptable shop heads.
