Brief Description: Bend Right Aileron, Drill and Deburr
I bought some 1/4 inch and 3/16 inch diameter dowels to use in keepng the trailing edge radius during bending. These were helpful as I made several progressive bends. The force required on the 2 x 4 was surprising, and I ended up clamping on a board to use as a lever as well as using the pipe wrench so I had both arms applying pressure. I alternated sides to try and keep the bend straight. Initially used the 1/4 inch dowel, then the 3/16 and finished the bend with no dowel inserted. Overall results were a good straight trailing edge skin, with a few tweaks using the seaming pliers.
Cleco'd the skeleton together and drilled the doubler plates and main ribs. Dis-assembled and deburred all the holes, edge finished the parts and scuffed with scotchbrite.
