Brief Description:  Rivet Stiffeners in Right Tank

Removed cleco's from stiffeners and cleaned off dried sealant. Removed excess sealant from top of stiffener with a razor knife and around dimples with popsicle stick. Cleaned excess sealant out of dimples and rivet holes. Wiped outside of tank skin with MEK to clean off oils from hands touching skin while cleaning dimples.

Mixed 20 grams of dealant with intention of riveting all stiffeners. Applied sealant to dimples with a cut off toothpick, inserted rivets (soaked in MEK previous night and air dried) with tweezers, applied rivet tape and ensured each rivet was well seated in the dimple. Flipped skin over and cleaned excess sealant off of shank of rivet. Back riveted with C-frame. Repeated for six stiffeners. Process was slow and sealant started to stiffen, so I used a gloved finger to apply a dab of sealant to each rivet shop head.

As I started riveting I realized four rivets were not properly seated in the dimples due to using a flat set slightly too short for the C-frame table. I will drill and replace these rivets. After repacing the flat set with a longer one all remaining rivets were flush with skin.
