Brief Description:  Prime Rear Spar, More Ribs Riveted

I forgot to prime the rear spar when I shot the ribs, so I washed the spar and set up the booth to finish priming. I had previously primed the areas for the doubler plates but left gaps between those to be primed after drilling/deburring the spar to rib holes. Had to put the spar up on an angle in my small paint booth, but primer came out well in spite of the awkward work location.

Continued to rivet ribs to the spar, did several solo, then Joseph came over and assisted with several more. As we worked toward the root the spar was less flexible for bending it down to the bucking bar below, so we began using a combination of shims to adjust the spar height and allow good contact between the rivet and bucking bar. We had to set each rivet in a couple of stages, but results were very good looking rivets. Last couple of ribs under the wing walk we moved the support back under the spar to allow the end of the spar to bend down and this, along with shim adjustments, got these last rivets set well. Two more ribs to rivet, then on to the rear spar.
